Theatre nurses are involved in every stage of an operation and work with patients of all ages.
They will provide high standards of skilled care and support during each period of a patient's perioperative consideration.
They will work in clinic working theaters and sedative/recuperation regions. They could also be involved in procedures in cardiac catheterization units, clinics, or other specialties. Surgeons, anesthetists, operating department practitioners (ODPs), theatre support staff, and porters will all be a part of your large team.
Theatre nurses can also specialize in a particular field, like perioperative care, or rotate among the fields. In day surgery, rotation is more likely to occur.
This can be divided into four stages:
1.preoperative (pre-assessment)
2.anesthetics
3.surgical phase
4.recovery phase
